Families in the southwest metro who have a child with an intellectual or developmental disability are invited to enjoy a free night of musical fun with Arc Greater Twin Cities from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 19, at Jordan Elementary School, Multipurpose Room, 815 Sunset Drive, Jordan.
This entertaining and enlightening evening will begin with a presentation about the benefits of music therapy by music therapists from MacPhail Center for Music. Then everyone can make music on a wide range of musical instruments. The event will also include a pizza dinner.
This family fun night is co-sponsored by the Scott County Family Support Committee. It is geared toward families with children age 16 and younger but is open to everyone. Space is limited, so call soon to reserve your place. To register or get more information, call Arc at 952-920-0855.
