Minnesota Valley Electric Cooperative members are invited to their member appreciation day and annual meeting Wednesday, June 20, at the Scott County Fairgrounds in St. Lawrence Township, near Jordan.

This year’s carnival-like event is one for the whole family. In addition to children’s activities and other attractions, MVEC is providing a free chicken dinner.

Children’s activities include an inflatable moon walk and slide, face painting, pony rides, and a petting zoo. Other attractions such as antique tractors, a hot line demonstration and music will be available for adults. Information booths will also be set up for members to take advantage of special offers.

Registration begins at 5 p.m., with dinner being served from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The 30-minute business meeting will start at 7 p.m. MVEC Board President Michelle Morrison, General Manager Roger Geckler, and Vice President Finance and Planning Gerry Mareck will inform members about the state of the cooperative. All members and their families are invited to attend.
