Jim certainly represented the county fair very well this morning (I was at the kickoff breakfast), and the accidental loudness of the speakers, which probably broadcast Jim's voice to who knows how many listeners, ought to raise awareness of the event. It did seem like there was a point at which a radio technician whispered to a fair board member, asking if it would be OK to turn down the speakers. But why not get a little publicity?

Anyone listen to WCCO at the scott co. fair this morning? There were times where I couldn't tell the difference between Mike Lynch's voice and Jim Terwedo's.

I would think that high of coverage on WCCO should help out attendance.

My sister in Cedar Rapids, IA was ordered to evacuate this morning. She lives near the downtown. The Cedar River is higher than it was in 1929. They are calling it a catastrophic flood.

I was in Wisconsin last weekend when it was getting hammered by all that rain. It was amazing and scary at the same time. It was also very dangerous, and I hope the same doesn’t happen here in Jordan.

I have heard Cardinals singing already. I heard someone say yesterday that they have seen Robins.

To me, nothing says spring like the birds singing and letting us know they are back.
