Brandon, just hold on until the season starts at the Mini-Met. Then go to a Legion game, or a Brewers game. Get a hot dog, and an appropriate beverage. Find a place to sit that suits you. Yell when everyone else yells. When the hot dog is gone, get some peanuts. Say hi to people.

Repeat as often as you can.

Eventually, you'll begin to notice things like who shows up for the games, and how often Jeremy Heitkamp gets on base.

Forget classes, movies and internet. Small town baseball is just a wonderful way to spend some leisure time.

Many times on the trip south

Many times on the trip south the geese will find an area to rest a few days. In these areas the geese will feed in field during the day and then find water to sit on during the night. The feeding and sitting areas can be a few miles apart in either direction.

So yes they are heading south for the winter but may be staying in the area for a while and just flying around.

They may hang around until the weather changes and then continue their trip.
