The forecast calls for a beautiful weekend for Heimatfest. That’s good news, because a weekend with the kind of heat we’ve been having lately would have been a whole lot less fun.

I forgot to mention that our

I forgot to mention that our flight arrived in Minnesota at 11:30 p.m. or so, and I got home to Jordan by about 1 a.m. Sunday morning. Unfortunately for me, my bed was very inviting but my apartment was also very hot. I hadn’t left any windows open or the air conditioner on while I was gone, and I had to wait an hour before the temperature in my living room cooled to 80 degrees before I could even think about sleeping. I slept all Sunday afternoon, though.

I never did find out. I called the heating place, and they were about to send someone out to fix the problem, when I noticed that the heater itself had just gotten considerably warmer. I called back and cancelled the service. Maybe they can do something from their office before taking the trouble to send someone out?

No blizzards in the forecast, at least. Sounds chilly, though. I hope it gets better fast. Did you ever find out what happened?
