Wow. On his first play of the game, Willie Parker broke his leg and single-handedly killed my chances of a repeat Otte Football League fantasy championship.

I am on to the championship

I am on to the championship game in one league as well, but I will be the first person to admit that I am not fielding a "championship level" team.
I have gotten there with the likes of Kurt Warner, Derrick Mason, Earnest Graham, Willis McGahee, Nick Folk, among others.

That just shows you what a crazy year in football it has been.

My team in my other league (where I didn't even make the playoffs) I thought was much better. Then again, its "what have you done for me lately" and "all about getting the job done."

I fell victim to the weather, as well, but unlike you I was unable to overcome the poor week by Brady and Moss.
I finished the season in second place largely because of Moss and Brady, who let me down yesterday, so goes fantasy football.
In my other league, I am battling for the consolation championship, am down 14 points and have AD and Chester Taylor playing tonight. I hate to start two RBs from the same team, but injuries have forced me into a corner so to speak.

Now that I am out of the fantasy league for this season, I hope they take it easy on Peterson.

I really could have used the points on Sunday, (I only missed out on the playoffs by about 10 points), but as a Vikings fan, once they got up so big, I was glad they took AD out of that game.

Well, like I said, now I am watching the rest of the games unbiased. Out to make it fun.

I’m guaranteed playoff

I’m guaranteed playoff spots in both my leagues, and I’m pretty well locked into the seeding that I’ll get. So all I have to do now is ride it out and hope that my quarterbacks (Romo and Brady) and running backs (Willie Parker and AD Peterson) can rack up the points in the coming weeks.

It feels weird to be cheering for a Viking, though, especially when they actually have a shot at the playoffs this year.

And it's never relaxing to sit back and watch the Packers. As a true fan, I worry about the Pack enough that I lose sleep some nights.

Yeah, thanks to Joseph

Yeah, thanks to Joseph Addai's worst day of the season, and Marques Colston reverting back to week 1-5 form I am out in my favorite league. I hate to say that. I always have such success in that league. It's 10 friends and we have all been together playing fantasy baseball and football for like 8 years now. It's a good time, and now that I am out of the playoffs, I am sure I will hear about it.

I do have another league in which I qualified for the playoffs, and that team is looking OK, but I don't think it is championship caliber. And, to be honest, I don't care as much about that league. Too bad, its been quite the off year for me in fantasy football. Too many strange things have happened. It almost (almost) makes fantasy football no fun when it is such a crap shoot.

Oh well, at least I get to watch the final four weeks of the season unbiased and I dont have to worry about Addai getting 15 or 20 carries, or whether AD shares the ball with Chester Taylor, or whether the Panthers can actually find someone to throw the ball to Steve Smith.

It's been fun, now I will jsut sit back and watch the best part of the NFL season unfold without any extra agenda.

It just means the Vikings

It just means the Vikings were geared up for the game and that they have a pretty darn good running back. Any game between two division opponents and rivals like the Pack and the Vikes has a chance to go either way, regardless of the teams’ abilities (just look at the Lions beating the Bears for a great example).

The sad thing about the Packers is this: They only beat the Vikings by seven points. Wasn't the pregame spread something like 30 points? Does the fact that the Packers almost lost say that the Vikes were geared up for this game, the officials were on Favre's side, or -- dare I say -- the Packers really aren't that good?

Yeah, I went 1-1 in my two leagues. The one I lost was because I started and lost Chester Taylor.

The Dallas D was quite the dissapointment. The guys in my leagues who picked them have dropped them after week 1.

As for the newspaper's pick'em, I guess I'm not a VIP, but I scored 12 points last week to be tied for 49 overall. I'm happy with that, but want one perfect week this season.

How do I join the group??

I'm not a football fan, I've heard of three of those players, and Romo barely played against the Vikings last night when I went to the game. At least I went to the game for free and didn't have to pay for parking either -- yahoo!

Tony Roma's is a great place for ribs, by the way.

I haven't seen the other teams, but this doesn't look so bad.

You have some great running backs, but you have a lot of them, meaning you will have some points on the bench every week.

In my humble opinion, I would trade one or two of them for a top reciever. That is where I think you are hurting.

I also agree that a second tight-end would be helpful. I like Cooley as well, but he tends to have games that he doesn't do much for points.

I like the Bulge pick. I think he will have a good year.

I'll post my roster next week when I get it so you can give me your opinion.

Although you think kickers are worthless in fantasy, Rackers is a great one to have.

Vernon Davis is going to be a huge this year. Another tight end who will be solid this season will be Owen Daniels of the Texans.

And he can be had for cheap. He was pretty decent as a rookie last year and he'll be much more involved this season in what looks to be an improving Texans offense.
