In a previous article http://www.jordannews.com/node/2835, it was reported that funding had been approved; maybe the plans are just the next phase of the project. I know I haven’t been contacted yet regarding the land acquisition involved. Here is small part of that previous news item:

... the intersection plan must first by approved by the state aid review process.

"We also need to accomplish the necessary land acquisitions during the review process," Caron said.

I'll keep an eye for you, I'm at ground zero anyway.

I didn’t know it was still up in the air. I thought the project was a done deal, the way I had been hearing about it.

Speaking of Highway 282,

Speaking of Highway 282, today I received a voicemail from Jordan City Engineer Carol Caron, who said the Minnesota Department of Transportation hasn't approved the plan for reconstruction yet.

There is no timeline for bidding the project or getting the work done, Caron said in the message.

The thing that I find funny is Hwy 282 will be torn up in a few weeks.

That was a waste of paint, labor, etc.

Under the stories available for new laws that have been enacted (using the first link listed above), the rules regarding annexation have been modified. Will this effect the annexation process going on between Jordan and St. Lawrence Township?
