I currently do not have a website. I will however update my blog to contain more information. I prefer not to restate the same non information that is contained in campaign websites. There will be a complete Q/A in the Jordan Independent as well as the Star Tribune. There will be a town forum on the candidates for Mayor as well as Council on October 22, 2008 at 7 p.m. I believe. It will be held in the High School Gym. I have been married for ten years and my wife and I are raising our daughter and two sons. I have lived in Jordan my entire life. I am from a family of thirteen raised in the heart of Jordan and have many relatives in the area. I am currently retired and can devote the time needed to bring Jordan to into a successful future. I am in the phone book; however prefer answering questions in person. I will attach a picture of myself in my blog so you can recognize me easily. Don’t be shy ask away I am a very approachable person.

Lee Greenwood I like. Ted Nugent I also like. You also have Jimmy Hendrix (National Anthem), Sex Pistols version of I did it my way.... for a little independant voice.... then switch to either Frank or Elvis version... I dabbled in music for a while and found that actually the Producers are more likely to be Republican... the Drummers and Bass to be Independent or right democrat... the lead singer and lead guitarist to be Democrat and the Rythm guitar to be the uncertain vote. Just kidding really I am not trying to offend any Bass Players as they can also be Republican... you can tell by the way they dress. What happened to the good old days when you could tell a persons party by which knot they used on their tie?

Some Republican Rock (and

Some Republican Rock (and Metal, Punk, New Wave):
Lynyrd Skynyrd
ZZ Top
Foghat
Kid Rock
Alice Cooper
Gene Simmons
Bob Seger
Danny Elfman (Oingo Boingo, Wrote the Simpsons Theme)
Neil Peart of Rush
Meat Loaf
C.C. Deville (Poison)
James Hetfield (Metallica)

Styx, SmashMouth among others performed for the RNC

As other mentioned County (the working man's music) is as Republican as rock appears to be liberal.

For example these are all part of this years RNC:
Trace Atkins
Gretchen Wilson
John Rich
Montgomery Gentry
Julianne Hough (the dancing with the stars girl)

R. W. Johnson - Rotsa ruck

R. W. Johnson - Rotsa ruck on that. The 'left wingers' (they're left compared to what) probably represent the average (working, that is) American Citizen to a substantial degree while the 'righties talk show artists' are generally funded by large corporation where, guess who, the affulant CEO's make the decisions. They know on which side of the bread is the butter. Say it isn't so. I suspect, in most instances, the lefties are left only because they are left (more central) then the 'far righties'. McCain cliams he can solve our problems, but as a confidant of the President, where has he and his advice been the past 8 years. The Democrates are in the majority in Congress but that majority in meaningless unless it is great enough (60 votes) to override a Veto. That they don't have. Stay tuned.

It's a cool idea but it does seem like the democrats do have all the cool musicians on their side...Go figure! BTW, Jackson Browne is sueing John Mccain's campaign for trying to use "Running on Empty" in an ad without permission. LOL

Since they were based out of California, I considered them as an American group, but you're correct in that their lineage is British.

Either way, as you said, why not use an American artist/group?

I agree - why not use an American artist? Or at least an artist less well known than Celine?

But I think you're talking about "Don't Stop" by Fleetwood Mac as Bill's song. Fleetwood Mac actually formed in London (by members of John Mayall's Bluesbreakers). By the time they recorded that song, though, half the band's members were American and half were English. I don't know if I'd call them an American group, though.

It's sad that with her running for president of the US that she had a song by a Canadian artist which was previously used by a Canadian airline on one of their commercials as one of the contenders for her campaign theme song...

Even her hubby used a song from an American group when he ran the first time.
