I forgot that I drafted

I forgot that I drafted Chris Capuano of Milwaukee and Woody Williams of Houston.

If Strib writer Patrick Reusse saw my team, he'd say I am the Minnesota Twins of my fantasy league -- none of my pitchers are good. (I tend to believe the Twins have a decent rotation, but that's beside the point.) Despite drawing the fourth spot in the fantasy draft, I have only one No. 1 starter, one in the No. 2 slot, four in No. 3 slots, a No. 4 starter, a former star who was sent to Triple-A, and former Cy Young who won't pitch until late April.

To say this is a gamble is an understatement. I need to believe in miracles.

And the winner is ... me!

And the winner is ... me! Like last year’s Pittsburgh Steelers in the NFL, I came back from an abysmal season to run the table in the OFL playoffs. As of Sunday night, I found myself on the right end of a 123-108 championship game. How a 4-10 team won a championship is beyond me, but I’ll take family bragging rights when I can get them.

The Pack have a very real

The Pack have a very real shot at the postseason. They only have to win their final game against the resting Bears and have the Giants lose their game against their division rival Redskins. But you’re right. I’m trying not to get my hopes up, and Packers Coach Mike McCarthy won’t even say the word playoffs to reporters.

More important is the fact that my Ocelots are a 4-10 team playing for a fake football championship. How often does that happen? I would guess more often than I think in a league with only six teams.

The Packers' shot at the playoffs is actually possible?!? Sez you. Remember, they are the Packers. Let's not get too hopeful.

I made it through! I’m in

I made it through! I’m in the championship game this weekend, and what a stressful weekend it will be. Here are some of the anxiety-ridden storylines of this weekend’s game:

I’m fighting for my first every OFL championship in a rematch with the team that beat me in the final game last year.

My cousin is fighting for the first ever back-to-back OFL championship (in the league’s two-year history)

The Green Bay Packers are fighting for a possible shot at the playoffs against the rival Chicago Bears!

To top it all off, it’s my immediate family’s Christmas celebration this weekend and I’ll be opening presents during the final games. I don’t know if I can handle it.
