How's that old saying go?

How's that old saying go? "He who waits til the last minute to come to Jesus dies at a quarter-to" Think of all the people who die instantaneously. 2 Corinthians 6:2 For he says, "In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you." I tell you, now is the time of God's favor, now is the day of salvation.

I think that would be

I think that would be incredibly difficult to forgive someone who has caused so much damage. I like to think I am capable of that, but I just don’t know if that’s true. Roy’s brother sounds like he really has the best interests of the boy at heart.

And kudos to you for allowing your mind to be changed. That would be difficult, too.

Thanks for the flyswatting

Thanks for the flyswatting tip, Kyle. To be honest, I tried it out and did quite well.

Another officefly penetrated my office yesterday afternoon, while the president of the newspaper company was putting up a mirror in our bathroom with the backdoor open.

Thanks to Brandon's donation of a flyswatter for my office, I killed that fly on my first, very loud swing. Any more intruders, you are hereby forewarned.

Ok, sometimes you just need

Ok, sometimes you just need practice. To that end I offer this site: http://www.mathpower.com/fly.swf

And when swatting at a fly currently landed, aim just slightly behind them. Good hunting!

Unfortunately, I just saw another one. It couldn't possibly be as lightning quick as the last one, so I'll have my Steno on hand at all times. Wish me luck.

“Night” is a good book.

“Night” is a good book. We had to read it in eighth grade, and it was one of the few (maybe five) books that I ever had to read for school that I actually enjoyed.

In answer to Wiesel’s question of “where is God when people are suffering?” I’ll quote a pop-culture source – “Without the bitter, the sweet ain’t as sweet” (from “Vanilla Sky”). That’s a really simplistic way of saying that bad things happen because God uses them to show us that good things happen, too. Where is the need for faith if life is good all the time? God uses those bad things in our lives to build our relationships with him and our trust and reliance on him.

That’s my two cents, anyway.
