How sad that someone would steal and torture an animal! Why would he think it was okay to kill someone's pet? Pets are members of the family.

I hope this man is punished severely.

Today, the governor included $1 million for the regional public safety training facility in Sand Creek Township. He did not veto that portion of the bill provided by the conference committee.

My understanding is that it would not close doors, but it would stop the future expansion of the facility. I am not sure of the effect on operations if the cities' funding goes by the wayside. More to come on this story.

Easter was fun for me this

Easter was fun for me this year – my fiancée and I decorated eggs and brought them to her parents’ house. We didn’t actually hunt for the eggs, but we did attended a pretty cool vespers service and ate some delicious food.

I also learned how to say "Happy Easter" in sign language.

I can’t stand American

I can’t stand American Idol. I’ve never watched a full episode, and I never intend to. It used to be that to become a chart-topping musician you had to have at least two things: musical talent and originality. Now, thanks to Idol, all you have to have is karaoke skills – and not even great ones at that. What ever happened to musicians who wrote and played their own material?

I didn't know the stats regarding the rarity of a Jordan athlete earning this honor, but I did point out to my husband that the female athlete of the week was from Jordan and the male athlete's first name was Jordan.
