I have known Burdette Stief for many years. I worked for him doing all type of "farm" chores out at the drop zone location. I used to mow and would stop and watch everytime those planes would fly over. They had drop zone locations out in the middle of the pasture and would regually place that large, and I mean large pallet right in the middle of the target.

I also remember the time me and Burdette were in the barn doing some stall cleaning and we heard a large thump and the ground shook. We went outside the office area of the barn and found the pallet to be about 2 feet from the barn, I would say they missed the target on that one, but that might have been the only one they missed.

I do have to agree, it will be missed over Jordan. They have been flying for years, and it seemed everytime they came over Jordan, you stopped what you were doing and just watched.

I hope everyonce in awhile they take a little detour and fly over.....you know I just had an idea. For $2,800 a month, I have a little room in my backyard for a target.

Nuts. I'll miss them. They fly almost directly over my home, and I've always enjoyed seeing them. They also served as a reminder to me how lucky I am that our military is ready to protect our country.

Such a mixed bag, good

Such a mixed bag, good points on both sides. Safety, the stop lights don't stop people from crossing against them nor the cars that almost rush over those that do use the crosswalks. These are far more common occurrences than the driver or pedestrian that couldn't "see" at the present intersection.

Noise and vibration, it will be less with the concrete piazza gone. No one knows that better than my family.

Esthetic's, will be worse. We going to loose grass and tress along the development at the intersection.

Traffic improvement should occur, but I do believe now that it's wider there will be an increase in trucks seen. And of course with all that fresh pavement the boys of summer will have to prove something by the excessive acceleration always popular at this location.

Dividing the city, well the jury's out on that one. Didn't the "city" already move out by the highway? We're a bedroom community now, there isn't a great deal of foot traffic or sense of neighborhood to fuss over down here anyway.

It's a shame that our state reps weren't heard from more, good bad or otherwise it would have been at least interesting to get their read on this whole thing, very noticeable in their absence.

The majority of us drive cars, we're all for road expansion, look at downtown Shakopee, I certainly cheered when they gutted that downtown for the new bridge there and it's expanded left hand turn lane. What goes around comes around.

Scotties! My friend they're Cairn Terriers and I'd thank you to learn the world of difference between the two breeds. Kidding ... yes thats us Thom, although I wish we walked as often as you do.

I think they'll be good for a few years to come. Sandy and I have attended a few games. This year is the first time we've made an effort to watch the Junior Varsity. They are strong too, so I think the Jags will be a force for a while.

One thing I do when I go to games is to watch the opponent during pre-game drills and shoot-arounds. Often I can see that the other teams play like . . . . well . . . girls. The Jags (JV and Varsity) play aggressive, heady basketball. They cut passing lanes, press, trap and all those other things that Vitale fella talks about.

I'm curious about where they hide the transporter they use to get Michelle O'Malley down the court so fast on fast breaks.
