Breakfast today was an organic breakfast cookie whose flavor I wasn't sure of and which smelled like something I might feed my dog, but I ate it anyway.

My sister was kind enough to throw it at me as we were leaving a hotel in downtown Minneapolis this morning (she was in town on business and invited me to join her, so it was like a 10-hour vacation).

I just talked to her and she said it was peanut butter -- wouldn't have guess that -- and it was wheat-free due to her allergy that I wasn't aware she had. So, I apparently accidentally ate something healthy and good for me. Who knew?

But without all those junk

But without all those junk e-mails, I would never repeatedly win the lotteries of various countries or receive any "Dear Sweetest" letters begging for help with moving money into American bank accounts.

Just today, I was offered 20 percent of $45 million U.S. if I just use my bank account as a vehicle for exchange from Johannesburg, South Africa.

Mr. Richard Laubsheri assures me, "After going through some old files in the records, I discovered that if I do not remit this money out urgently it would be forfeited for nothing. The owner of this account is Mr Smith B. Andrew, a foreigner, and a miner at a Gold Company, a geologist by profession and died since 2000. No other person knows this account or anything concerning it, the account has no beneficiary and my investigation proved to me as well that the company does not know anything about this account ..."

I am so honored to be chosen (insert strong sarcasm here). I can't believe that people actually fall for this and lose their life savings "helping" people.

I rarely go to Wal-Mart now

I rarely go to Wal-Mart now that I live in the state of Target, but when I did frequent the Wal-Mart back in Indiana, I usually left frustrated and without everything I came for because things kept getting moved around. It seemed like, just when I knew where stuff was, they rearranged things before I came back the next time.

I do find Cub to be relatively similar in layout regardless of which one I visit.

And I don't care what the layout is at Byerly's because I love shopping there and discovering items that I probably can't find anywhere else in the area. It's like going on a really fun scavenger hunt (although I do know where some of my favorite things are). Plus, there's this really cute gentleman that does samples on Saturdays at the store in St. Louis Park. He always wears a silly hat (a Dr. Seuss hat or something in keeping with whatever holiday might be near) and pretty much forces people to sample whatever he's cutting up or spreading on a cracker. I almost always buy whatever he's hawking -- one day it was a spread made from a chunk of blue cheese, a tub of mascarpone and some quince ($7 for a small jar) ... delish!

But if you don't eat

But if you don't eat anything, you'll get light-headed and risk the possibility of fainting even if that's not something you normally do. I wouldn't suggest eating a huge meal, but a little something in the stomach will keep it from growling and help keep you on your feet.

I don’t think I’ll have

I don’t think I’ll have much of a problem with fainting, it’s the throwing up that worries me. That’s how I deal with heavy amounts of stress – it always has been. I know I won’t be eating much, which adds to my fear of something like my stomach growling during the ceremony, which only adds to the stress. It’s a vicious cycle, really.

Repeat after me: "I will not faint. I will not faint. I will not faint."

Oh, yeah, no vomit, either.

Just take a deep breath, smile and enjoy yourself.

Thanks for the good advice.

Thanks for the good advice. I think Molly (my fiancée) has a list already, and she gave me a list of things to do. I’ve been slowly crossing them off as I go, but I should make a list of my own so I don’t forget.

When you are nervous, it is

When you are nervous, it is easy to forget things. Write down a to-do list and check them off when done. It is the only way to go.

When I got married, I had a clipboard with my list on it. For the last few days, the list was divided among my sisters to get it all done. All my fiance' at the time had to do was get his tux, and get to the church on time.

Yeah, but Brandon is saying that he's usually the rude one. So isn't it ironic that he's on the opposite end of the same boat?

Tell those that don't RSVP

Tell those that don't RSVP that they don't get a seat at the wedding nor do they get any food. If they can not be considerate enough to let you know that they are coming, they shouldn't get anything.

To not return an RSVP card is rude. It is very expensive to hire a caterer. There is usually a charge per person. If you don't RSVP and food runs short, there is an up-charge to produce extra meals.

If they don't RSVP, I would take it as a "no".
