So your suggestion is to

So your suggestion is to move Mauer out of the No. 3 spot and add Kubel -- Mr. 13 Homeruns and a Gimpy Leg -- and Punto -- who is hitting .172 this spring -- to the lineup, just because I've written positive posts about them in the past? Seriously? I rest my case about reporters not knowing how to make a lineup.

Despite the fact that I like these players, the Twins obviously have acquired better options than Punto and Kubel for this year. Punto and Kubel are still young, and they might shine again sometime.

You're in Minnesota. It's all purple. That's why there's no love for green here.

You know, I didn’t want to

You know, I didn’t want to be the first to comment on my post, but I’ve got a question: Where’s the love for the Packers?

Ever since Green Bay’s record-breaking win against San Diego, all the news coverage has focused on how the Chargers are lost, how the Chargers can turn it around, or how the Chargers failed to win the game. Why no love for Favre and the Pack? Good teams find a way to win games, and that’s what Green Bay did. I was excited after the win because it meant I could finally hear some news about my team (they did beat a Super Bowl favorite, after all, and are 3-0 against playoff teams from last year). Then there was nothing about the Packers.

To get away from Green Bay, they do the same thing all the time with any other team from the Midwest. We’re small-market in Wisconsin and Minnesota, so the bigger story is always going to be how the big team failed to win the game. Come on!
