Now that I am out of the fantasy league for this season, I hope they take it easy on Peterson.

I really could have used the points on Sunday, (I only missed out on the playoffs by about 10 points), but as a Vikings fan, once they got up so big, I was glad they took AD out of that game.

Well, like I said, now I am watching the rest of the games unbiased. Out to make it fun.

I’m guaranteed playoff

I’m guaranteed playoff spots in both my leagues, and I’m pretty well locked into the seeding that I’ll get. So all I have to do now is ride it out and hope that my quarterbacks (Romo and Brady) and running backs (Willie Parker and AD Peterson) can rack up the points in the coming weeks.

It feels weird to be cheering for a Viking, though, especially when they actually have a shot at the playoffs this year.

And it's never relaxing to sit back and watch the Packers. As a true fan, I worry about the Pack enough that I lose sleep some nights.

Yeah, thanks to Joseph Addai's worst day of the season, and Marques Colston reverting back to week 1-5 form I am out in my favorite league. I hate to say that. I always have such success in that league. It's 10 friends and we have all been together playing fantasy baseball and football for like 8 years now. It's a good time, and now that I am out of the playoffs, I am sure I will hear about it.

I do have another league in which I qualified for the playoffs, and that team is looking OK, but I don't think it is championship caliber. And, to be honest, I don't care as much about that league. Too bad, its been quite the off year for me in fantasy football. Too many strange things have happened. It almost (almost) makes fantasy football no fun when it is such a crap shoot.

Oh well, at least I get to watch the final four weeks of the season unbiased and I dont have to worry about Addai getting 15 or 20 carries, or whether AD shares the ball with Chester Taylor, or whether the Panthers can actually find someone to throw the ball to Steve Smith.

It's been fun, now I will jsut sit back and watch the best part of the NFL season unfold without any extra agenda.

Pretty sure I'll win this week. And, yes -- although I don't like to say it -- I did pick the Packers to win.

I gotta say, though, that I feel like I’m sitting pretty this weekend. The predicted scores may say otherwise, but I feel like I’ve got a chance to pull through with a win.

Coming back from a fishing

Coming back from a fishing trip up north we stopped at Black Bear Casino. I won $85 playing black jack in about 15 minutes. I put away my winnings and down the road we went. We then decided to stop in Hinkley. I lost the $85 in about 10 minutes. I was done. I played no more and left shortly after.

This is sad but I once lost almost $80 playing the nickel slots. This was my first time gambling at a casino and none of us who went won anything.

I seem to remember this kid

I seem to remember this kid who just moved to Jordan, was invited once to a poker game in St. Paul, and went home with $75 in a $5 game. But he says the most he won in a poker game was $1.

This is how you know when you gamble with a shark.

I don't gamble much, but I won $125 once. That kind of a win can fund a mild player's losing poker games for a year.

I lost $5 at the slot

I lost $5 at the slot machines in the Las Vegas airport. My friend, sitting right next to me, played $4 and won $188.

The most I've ever won is maybe $20 in a poker game with friends.
