Nice catch there Andy. Yes, as listed in this week's print edition of the Jordan Independent, the wrestling photos this week were taken by former Jordanite (or is it Jordanian) Andrew Link.

He was there in Winona taking some great shots.

Also, the wrestling meet tonight is in Northfield, not at Scott West as originally posted.

Fatalbert is right. There was no school scheduled today, because the school board voted during its March meeting to use today and tomorrow as teacher workshop days. But the decision was made with the state volleyball tournament in mind.

We had a very successful NNO in our neighborhood! It is nice to talk with Community Officers--and the kids love it! I was a little disappointed -- in our neighborhood we had 3 different parties instead of just one--not sure why?
We should all be proud of the community we live in and how hard they work to help make this event so fantastic!

I actually only saw one or two fireworks go off last night, but last weekend I lit a bunch of fireworks with my family in Wisconsin – including the fun kinds that explode and fly and are illegal here in Minnesota.

While I was reading your comment, it hit me that every time I have a lit sparkler, I want to run around, wave it in the air, and spell my name in the smoke. Every time, without fail.

Well done, Mathias. The Jordan Brewery was a principle attraction in/for Jordan and it is a shame that big, heavily advertised beers cut into the Jordan Brewery's future. We are not the better, nor is our beer the better for this loss. Jordan has so much history and so much going for it, that I hope this sort of article can be continued. Many have much information (and probably many pictures) of 'Old Jordan' and, hopefully, they can be encouraged to speak out. How about the 'Old Oak Farm' on old #169 Southbound? Why is there a dam in Lagoon Park? Did the Mill Pond have an 'industrial' purpose?
