I was once again

I was once again disappointed by the Pork in the Park event. We got there at about 2:30 and there were maybe 100 people there. I really could not see giving 3 bucks for a hot dog either...would have taken 12 bucks just to get boy fed. As far as the music....I have owned a DJ business in this town for 18 years and would have never been playing the music that I heard playing there. It is spose to be a "family" type of event. The first song I heard playing was "Candyshop", not a bad "Bar Tune" but not a family type song.

Is there a reason why this Pork in the Park event has never really taken off? I know we tried doing our Firefighter Waterfights there once and just really didn't work.

We did talk to a few people, but then headed to the Art Festival. Once again not bad, however nothing there really impressed me much, but then again, I'm not the ART dude.

We then headed to the Church 150th. Nice event. Where else can you go from Polka Mass to a Beer Garden on the same property. Food was good and cheap, Beer was good and cheap! and seeing Father dance the jig was worth the price of admission, and I am not even Catholic.

I went to the Pork in the Park and Art Festival for the first time since moving to Jordan 12 years ago. I had expected the events to be larger. Was the size the same this year as in the past?

The BBQ pork was delicious as was the ice cream.

The 150th anniversary celebration at St. Johns was very nice. It was great to have all this to do without going very far.

How'd you like the Pork in the Park? I thought the music was good, the people I met were friendly, and the food was great.

The bike tour drew almost 300 bicyclists for three different-length routes between Jordan and Montgomery. Were you one of them? What did you think? Tell your story.

Did you fully enjoy all of the changes to the Jordan Art Festival?

Boy, St. John's was a fun place to be this weekend, too. Which was your favorite game, band, food, et cetera?

Hope you had a fun time.

Any suggestions? What did you like or not like?
