any costs in jordan should be a city workers that care about dogs at large and partying of all hours of the night and drunkenness-not worry about streets at this time-jordan is way behind--most cities like most cities have 2 minute dog barking ordinances and city notices parties outdoors-like noise pollution and drunkenness till 2am outdoors-then maybe, maybe in 2012 get new street lights etc after replacing city officials--god bless jordan mn

More streetlights along Highway 282 come at increased price

If the Jordan City Council wanted more streetlights along Highway 282, they would cost an average increase of $2,500 apiece.

Months ago, the council authorized Xcel Energy to install a dozen 150-watt streetlights along Highway 282 at a cost of $90,055, or about $7,500 per light. Late last month, the council talked about adding four more streetlights -- two near the intersection of Highway 282 and East Street, two west of Mertens Street and near the highway bridge over Sand Creek.
