I'm also by no means a tree

I'm also by no means a tree hugger, but you hit on a good point with trees. I actually use a tree when I describe miracles to my 5-year old daughter. Man can make almost anything. But only God (or Allah, Ra, Mother Earth or whichever god you pray to) can make a tree.

Don't you just love trees?

Don't you just love trees? Just before I got my first pair of eyeglasses, my dad told me about the day when he decided to buy glasses. He was amazed that he had never seen a trees individual leaves so clearly. The beauty of a tree is, well, astounding.

I really sound like a tree hugger, I know, but the truth is that nature is so inspiring. You tell me why ...

Two words: forceful

Two words: forceful takeover. I think Earth Day staged a coup against Arbor Day and stole away all those green-minded folks. If you ask me, though, Earth Day is a little too general. At least with Arbor Day you knew what you were celebrating. Of course, I don’t think I ever celebrated Arbor Day. I may have actually planted a tree once or twice – or at least gotten a free tree from school for my dad to plant – but not much else than that.
