You’re right. We should leave this forum to the sports stars and their accomplishments. To voice your opinion on the awful “Idol,” go to this forum from last year's edition: http://www.jordannews.com/community/brandon/idol-worshippers-voice-your-....

How these forums get from

How these forums get from athlete of the week to American Idol, I will never understand. Random.

I can’t stand American

I can’t stand American Idol. I’ve never watched a full episode, and I never intend to. It used to be that to become a chart-topping musician you had to have at least two things: musical talent and originality. Now, thanks to Idol, all you have to have is karaoke skills – and not even great ones at that. What ever happened to musicians who wrote and played their own material?

Jordan is the new hot bed for rising young talent. Well, except for Jordan Sparks of American Idol, whose debut album tanked.

So, who is ready for another season of AI?

I didn't know the stats regarding the rarity of a Jordan athlete earning this honor, but I did point out to my husband that the female athlete of the week was from Jordan and the male athlete's first name was Jordan.

Anyone see Ms. Chambers on KARE11 sports last night? That is a pretty rare feat! As far as I can remember Only 3 Jordan athletes have ever been on Randy Shaver's athlete of the week.
Adam Hoffman 1994
Leah Dietel 2006
Brittany Chamber 2008

Am I missing anyone?

Four Jordan sports stars rank among the Twin Cities' best athletes this year.

Scott West Panthers wrestlers Lee Goldberg and Tyler Kivel, as well as Jordan Jaguars basketball players Brittany Chambers and Leah Dietel showed up on lists of metro area statistical rankings printed by the Star Tribune today.

Goldberg tops the list of 103-pound wrestlers with a 24-2 record. Kivel, who sports a 22-2 record, is the best of the 135-pounders.
