3 hour commute last night
I

3 hour commute last night

I drove from Bloomington to Jordan. I started at 4:00 PM. I took side streets south to Old Shakopee Road and then went west to get onto Hwy 169. I SAT on Old Shakopee Road for over 25 minutes without moving an inch.

Once I got to 169, traffic was slow but was moving.

This morning, it took 1 hour and 45 minutes.
There was a bad accident at Hwy 169 and 69 near Shakopee that backed up 169 heading north to Shakopee.

I hear more snow is coming in time for tomorrow's drive home. Ugh.

I drove a couple miles

I drove a couple miles without windshield wipers last night.

Well, technically, I had a passenger-side wiper but, since the driver's side wiper was taking a coffee break, the one on the right was trying -- unsuccessfully -- to reach over lefty and clear a minimal swath for me. However, since the passenger wiper had to cross over top of the driver's wiper, it wasn't exactly touching the window at all the pertinent spots.

I knew that lefty's problem was a loose bolt because of the wiggle it gave when I tried to troubleshoot it. But, without tools or light (it was after 4 p.m. after all), I opted to swing into the Goodyear off Canterbury Road. Within 10 minutes, I was back on the road with a clear view through the windshield and both lefty and righty waving at me.

Thanks guys!
