I believe it was automatically added to my auto insurance plan without being an extra cost to me. I had received notice from them a few months ago regarding the new perk in our policy.

My employer offers pet insurance (health insurance) that I have never signed up for to use for regular vet visits.

I’d also consider getting pet insurance. I don’t have a pet now, and I’m more of a cat person anyway (and not likely to bring my cats on any trips). But I know how important my pets were to me when I did have them, and I would hate to have to say goodbye to them just because I couldn’t afford to treat them after an accident. So if I had a dog that I brought in the car with me often, I’d definitely pay for the pet insurance.

Yes. I know the cost of emergency vet visit would exceed the $500 that Progressive offers, but to know that it's available if I need it is very reassuring.

When I travel with my pets they are always safely secured in a safety crate/pet carseat restraint/etc. It always annoys me when I see people driving with pets roaming around in their vehicle. I've felt that I always wear a seat belt, my pet should be secured too.

Progressive Corp. is offering coverage for pets injured or killed in an auto accident. Is this something that you'd be interested in having?
