For senior photos, I wore what some people called the ugliest yellow Hawaiian shirt. I loved that shirt -- and lived in it. I still have it, but it doesn't get the same amount of overuse.

The senior photo that got into the yearbook, though, featured a black suit with a red power tie. Classic.

Looking back on it now, I wish I had taken a picture of me in a suit. I had the coolest powder blue leisure suit that would have looked awesome...

But really, I do wish I would have dressed up a little more for at least one of the shots.

I wore a suit coat, shirt and tie.

It drives me crazy to see all these pictures in the yearbooks and in the paper with the graduation announcement where the kids are with all their stuff and dressed in tshirts and letter jackets, etc. What happened to normal pictures?

I think it is great to have the other pictures. Those should be the ones you pass out to your friends.

But a nice dress up picture should be required for the yearbook and public announcements.

Call me old fashioned...

I wore a short-sleeved shirt and shorts with sandals. I actually still wear the shirt to work. I’m surprised that it still fits me and that it has held up all these years.
