A pet you don't wait on --

A pet you don't wait on -- sounds really good to me, too. No cuddling, though, either.

Well, the cat only existed

Well, the cat only existed sometimes, and I certainly never touched it, We could just see it sometimes. I would think maybe I was a little bonkers but other people saw it as well. We just called it ghost cat. I always put a female aspect on it, but of couse I had no idea. We would talk to it, say Hi ghost cat. Now THAT sounds odd even to me, but oh well. It just would be there, walking or sitting, and then not be there any more.
It just stopped appearing after we brought the dog home.
It was a pretty peaceful creature to have around, and the best kind of cat, no shedding, no clawing, and no cat box. I would like another such pet.

How could you tell the cat

How could you tell the cat was a ghost? Were there any other ghost animals? If it was scared away by the dog, did it answer to your call or pay any attention to you at all?

I’ve always wondered that about ghosts. I have trouble believing in them, but it would make sense to me that if a person could become a ghost after death, then so could an animal.

I read the story in the paper, your hunter sounds like a very thourough one.
I have some mixed feelings about ghosts, I do believe in them, I think that they are scary and yet wonderful at the same time.
