Millhouse is my favorite character. I used to love Ralph, too, but he was overused for a while. I was dreading the movie for a while – like you, I thought the writing had gone downhill recently. I haven’t seen the movie yet, but I watched a recent episode of the show last night, and I was surprised how funny it was.
