It was an experience I won't forget, to be sure. Wish we could've done some bridge jumping, but the lifeguard in me says not to be stupid. And with a little more water, the trip would've been a quick ride.

I remember the "good old days" of Sand Creek tubing. We used to start also out on County Rd 8, walk the tracks to the south about 2000 feet and jump in. We would ride it all the way to the Minnesota River. The ride back in the Late 80's would take about 2 hours from County Rd 8 to the Falls...thats when there was water in the creek. I remember us jumping off the falls, we also used to stop by some of those bridges that you mentioned and jump off those and never hit bottom. I remember swimming above the falls in the large swim hole that is there...however after swimming there with a good friend and seeing him break his neck there, all that stopped from us.
