Been dealing with dandelions for years....I try to keep my lawn free of them....however it don't help when your property butts up with the schools and they simply don't care about it. I am waiting for the day that the football field is all yellow. Each year they move closer and closer to there.

It is nice to see the large fields of bright yellow dandelions...as long as it is not my yard or either of my neighbors.

Someone from Jordan wouldn't show such blatant disregard for their lawns. I should've made this fact clear in my original forum post: Most of what I see in Jordan is beautiful.

Someday we might move to a better neighborhood, but for now, the St. Paul's West Side is perfect for being within a tolerable driving distance of both work and extended families. The mowing could improve ...

I like to let the dandelions

I like to let the dandelions grow. Without them I couldn't make dandelion wine. Plus all the yellow is actually kinda cool.

How do others feel about neighbors who let enough dandelions grow on their "lawn" that it looks like a fluffy field of cotton blowing around? That is worse to me than not mowing.

Now Mathias I know that you are not a resident of our community YET but we just so happened to get a certified letter from the city today (we are on the builder/developer list)explaining that their tolerance level (code) is six inches.

Your community may be the same. Turn them in.

Like Jason said I would mow or bale it for them if it were a foot tall.

If my neighbors lawn got to 12 inches I would go mow it for them. There are a few houses around Jordan that like to mow their lawns about twice a year. Come on folks.....take a little pride in your place and MOW THE GRASS.

My neighbors (won't say which ones) sometimes let their grass grow too long for my liking.
