Good luck with the TV exile

Good luck with the TV exile Brandon. I can imagine eating dinner alone, without television, would be difficult.

I don't watch very much TV. So maybe I can give you a few hints that will make it easier on you.

Try listening to a CD while you eat. You may find yourself grooving around your table and dropping some food on your lap, but it does break the silence.

I have also found that playing guitar or whatever insrument you may want to pick up has taken my attention away from the TV, as well as given me another artistic outlet. I like to spend my old TV time playing music or reading as well.

I can't imagine missing The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, South Park and The Family Guy. I also enjoy watching the Twins, but if you don't have cable I guess you wouldn't feel my pain.

Good luck with the TV exile, I think you will find that a few more hours of productivity will be added to your day.

Yesterday was the first day of my TV-free week, and it was harder than I expected – but harder in different areas.
