You know, it's kind of strange how I was walking through a cloud of boxelder bugs and ladybird beetles a couple days ago but now there are few to be found anywhere.

My old apartment used to be full of boxelder bugs. I'd come home from work and kill bugs for a good 20 minutes just so they wouldn't be crawling all over me while I watched TV.

If they are becoming a nusance, you can mix a tablespoon of tide liquid detergent or dawn dishwashing liquid to a large sprayer bottle full of warm water and it will kill them instantly without harming surfaces or the environment.

BOXELDER BUGS ...

I used to have a neighbor who was a retired farmer from near East Chain, MN - He called Boxelder Bugs "Democrat Bugs". When I asked him why, he winked at me and said "Because they only show up at election time."

Holy boxelder bugs! Wowee -- look at all the ladybird beetles!

What is the deal with all the bugs? Can anyone explain what drives these insects out of hiding?

Must be the weather change. But why?
