Kohls suspends campaign for governor

State Rep. Paul Kohls, R-Victoria, is suspending his campaign for Minnesota governor.

Kohls, a four-term legislator who represents St. Lawrence Township in addition to part of Carver County, tells supporters that GOP activists are lining up behind other candidates and others may still get into the race. There are eight other Republicans running for governor.

Kohls was far behind in a straw poll at an off-year Republican state convention last month.
