Are you a very last-minute shopper?

There's still time to buy a subscription to your local newspaper, the Jordan Independent. 

The office, 109 Rice St. S., is open until 3:30 p.m. today and from 8:30 a.m. to noon tomorrow, Christmas Eve. 

Feel free to stop down and get a little something extra for the one you love.

We also still have in stock at the JI office Southwest's new history book, "'...Wish you were here!' Scott County's Vintage Postcards Volume I." These little books are great for the local history buff and are stuffed with photos and notes from Scott County's olden days. They're just $13, and you can even get a copy pre-wrapped in holiday wrapping paper and ready to slip under the tree at the last minute.

Also ask about the subscription offers that come along with the book, but hurry - offers expire Dec. 31.
