The Minnesota Twins sent a message to the New York Yankees: Our Rodriguez can beat up your Rodriguez.
I've been calling him L-Rod all year, in sort of a mockingly loving way. Luis Rodriguez is the Twins backup infielder with the lowest batting average on the team, but he has potential and tends to come through in the clutch.
L-Rod went 1-for-4 today and hit a big, lead-extending two-run homer in the ninth inning.
Alex "A-Rod" Rodriguez went 0-for-4 with a strikeout and two runners left on base.
Ha. Ha. L-Rod gets the best of the Yanks in a 6-2 win.
