My guy, Justin Morneau, just won the MVP award. Love it! He's the best since Kent Hrbek.
And my favorite players, David Ortiz (third place) and Johan Santana (seventh place), also got consideration for the award. Ortiz, though, didn't get a first-place vote -- those went to Derek Jeter (boo!!!), Morneau, and Santana.
Hometown kid wonder Joe Mauer finished sixth.
Obviously, we should've gone farther in the playoffs, eh? (Eh -- that's a Canadian joke. Ha. Ha.)
