It's long been the role of your local newspaper to attend government meetings in your place.
Reporters write about just about every meeting that is held by the three main local governments that make rules, policies, and laws that affect you the most -- the Scott County Board, the Jordan City Council and the Jordan School Board. It's important that the issues that come up at these meetings are brought to your attention.
And quickly.
I will be at the city council meeting tonight, and I will be writing about the meeting immediately after it concludes.
Tonight's meeting begins at 6:30 p.m., so you might want to check the Web site at 9:30 p.m. or 10 p.m.
For full coverage of the meeting, read my blogs to the Government Observers online group. You can join the group, which can read private blogs about government happenings, at http://www.jordannews.com/og.
