I really appreciated working with Gil Hartmann on a story for Southwest Saturday. His enthusiasm for the Heimatfest medallion hunt in Jordan is inspiring.

So here is my plan:

- to study the parks in Jordan, as well as my town of residence, which is St. Paul;

- to learn about the histories of Jordan and of my town;

- to collect a toolbox for medallion hunting;

- to take a week off for the St. Paul Winter Carnival medallion hunt;

- to find the St. Paul medallion;

- and to enjoy next year's Heimatfest medallion hunt even more than I did this year.

Thanks Gil, for showing me the ropes. I don't think you're crazy -- at least not any crazier than I am.
