I'm attending the Jordan City Council meeting tonight. It starts at 6:30 p.m.
Among the agenda items listed are:
- an improvement request for the intersection of Hillside Avenue and Stuart and Hillside drives;
- plans and specifications for expanding the water plant and drilling a new well;
- a change order to the Mill Pond rehabilitation project;
- comprehensive plan updates;
- an inspection report for a bridge along Rice Street;
- an update on railroad crossing upgrades
- the second reading of an ordinance regarding fences;
- a request from Brewers of Jordan bar to consider allowing a 2 a.m. closing time;
- and more.
Afterward, as soon as possible, I will publish online my rendition of what happened during the meeting. There are always changes to the agenda -- some of the above topics might not be covered, and others might be added.
Some of these stories will not be printed in the Jordan Independent. To read the full city council coverage, join the online group Government Observers.
