The Scott County Board met last Tuesday. This is what they talked about:
- The Scott County Board unanimously adopted a resolution honoring Nick Barranger from Troop No. 619 upon receiving the prestigious Eagle Scout Award.

- The county board awarded Motorola a contract for almost $4.8 million for the purchase of system equipment for the installation, programming, and optimization of Scott County’s 800 MHz radio system. The new 800 MHz system will replace the current stand-alone public safety radio system and permit Scott County to connect to the Metro Emergency Services 800 MHz regional radio system, thus allowing for more fully interconnected public safety communication.
The county board held a public hearing to consider the increase for on-sale liquor licenses for establishments within the townships of Scott County. Following the Public Hearing, the Board approved the increase in the fee from $3,493 to $3,871.
