City reschedules hearing about liquor license

» Read similar stories filed under:

A public hearing in regard to an increase in liquor license fees did not get finished in time for the 2007 budget.

Although part of the city budget was based on the expectation that income from liquor license fees will increase from $1,450 projected for this year to $2,500 in 2007, the public hearing on the subject was rescheduled for Feb. 5. This change (the meeting was originally scheduled to occur in December) was due to publication requirements, according to a memo from Jordan Finance Director Tom Nikunen.
