Jordan made a conditional job offer to Kelly Doyle, who applied for an open position as the city's police records technician.
Earlier this fall, Michelle Guscette earned a full-time community service officer position. She had been spending half of her time on police records work and the other half as a CSO.
As long as she passes a background check, Doyle would start at $13.41 an hour, step one of the police department's pay scale.
"She types 95 words a minute," Jordan City Councilmember David Hanson said. "That's insane!"
"That's a typo," said Tim Loos, a Bolton & Menk engineer who was sitting in the audience when the council passed a motion to offer Doyle the job. He was joking.
