Volunteer Position Title: Big Brother or Big Sister (mentor to a young person)
Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Greater Twin Cities (BBBS) needs adult volunteers. BBBS has been matching young people with caring, adult mentors for 88 years. Big Brothers and Big Sisters provide friendship, emotional support and hope to young people. Community-based mentors meet with their Little Brother of Sister two to four times per month at the locations of their choice. In this program, volunteers may choose the traditional one-to-one mentoring relationship, or they may sign up for the Big Couples/Colleagues or Big Families programs to engage their partner/spouse/co-worker and/or children in the experience. Volunteer Position Title: Carver County Fair volunteer
The Carver County Historical Society needs volunteers to help staff its booth at the county fair. Volunteers will be asked to answer basic questions for fair-goers and show enthusiasm for the Historical Society and its services.

Volunteer Position Title: Part-time Administrative Assistant
Complete administrative tasks such as mailings, answering phones, greeting visitors, assist visitors in the research library and with public tours, as well as assist with maintenance of museum collections and collections records. Training provided, approximately 10 to 20 hours per week, flexible schedule.

Volunteer Position Title: Sexual Assault Advocate
Looking for the most rewarding volunteer experience of your life? Become a Sexual Assault Advocate where you'll be providing these services: 24 hour Crisis Line, Medical, Law Enforcement, or Legal Advocacy, Community and educations Presentations, 1 to 1 Counseling and Support Group Facilitation. 1) One on one visitor needed for residents on a weekly basis. Hours flexible, training and orientation required.
2) Weekday opportunity for recreation assistant in Assisted Living or long term care area. Orientation and training provided, flexible weekday hours.
3) Card player for various card games including BRIDGE, 500 or Cribbage. One or two players needed to play card games with residents one time per week. Thursday afternoons preferred.
4) Escort needed to push wheelchair patients to appointments within our campus on Monday/Wednesday mornings. Must be physically able to push wheelchairs from nursing home to the hospital.

Volunteer Position Title: General call for volunteers for activities, bridge, cards, reading and soon gardening. Auburn Village includes the communities of Auburn Courts, Auburn Manor, The Courtyard at Auburn, and Talheim Apartments. Sunday worship assistants are also needed.
