Shadow people along 169

I have called Jordan my home now for 4 years. Since I moved here, I have travel up and down the 169 all times of the day and night.

For a few years now I have noticed strange shadowy figures walking along the railroad tracks as I drive by them between Chaska and Jordan. At first when I saw them I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me and it was one of the many scrub brushes that dot the landscape along the tracks. The next time I saw one, I slowed down and carefully observed that no small cedar trees were near by and I could see that these shadowy figures are moving. It is around dusk when I see them.

I never mentioned what I have witness to any one and shrugged it off. I figured that it was a spirit of someone who had been hit by a train at one time or perhaps a railroad worker from the past keeping an eye on his train tracks.

Then one day last year, a man who lives in Belle Plaine, had told me that one time as he was driving home he spotted 3 shadow people walking in a field near the railroad tracks between Jordan and Belle Plaine. I was a bit stunned. I though I was the only one who saw them. I had only seen one shadowy figure. I had no idea that there was more then one.

I am writing this because the other day when I was driving home from work on 169, I passed the intersection of 41 and 78, shortly after the intersection I saw a shadowy figure walking across 169 from the motel towards the gas station. My headlights hit him and I could clearly see the dark translucent figure walking across the street.

I wondered where he was heading.

Since my first experience 4 years ago seeing these shadow people, I have had several other sightings. I will be telling these stories and more at the Strait House event on Oct 25.
