An unfortunate truth that I...
Back to page topAn unfortunate truth that I learned after becoming a journalist here at the Jordan Independent is that most people don’t get a real spring break. Sure, I could use my vacation time, but I’ve already scheduled that out a ways in advance this year. With a limited number of days off a year (only 10!), I have to be wise with my vacation selection.
If I did have a break, I’d steer clear of all the main warm-weather destinations (Florida, Cancun, et cetera) and instead head somewhere like a national park – Mammoth Cave or Arches are two parks in warmer areas that I’d like to visit.
My fiancée, on the other hand, is headed to Jamaica to Sunbeam Boys Home, a place she’s visited at least once a year for the past four years or so, working with the boys and the staff.
