I was inspired to politics as a child. Hubert Humphrey stopped at Jordan. I actually wanted to see his helicopter, but had to shake his hand first at least it was a man with thin hair and I was told it was him. We have all been bathed in political behaviors through work and our community. I myself have lost employment due to politicking and then with a pasted on smile you are given a pat on the back from the current politician as he asks you for your vote, then lulled into believing they had no dealings with your situation. However they ask for your vote and promise they will see what they can do. Why not first see a person as a fellow human being and friend, not just a vote.

Around Christmas of 2007 I started actively pursuing input from people on what they wanted from a mayor and what shortcomings they felt needed to be addressed, I have been informed!. I voiced my intention to run for mayor and invited everyone I could to run for a political office if they could, including mayor as well. Originally I had decided to run for mayor in 2004; however I was unable to do so at that time. So, today I enlist your support to become your mayor for 2008.

I have no Giant fiberglass Monument, nor am I being toted around on a chariot made of Poly Carbon and tree. I will not be placing Carbon signs with chemical inks on front yards and filling your trash receptacles and streets with empty promises on bright shiny paper. Instead I will be doing what the politicians have been enforcing but not upholding. I am attempting to be a truly conscientious candidate. I will not abide to double standards that lead to an increased carbon footprint. I truly care about our community and will not be a part of poisoning our children for personal gratification. I enlist your support to urge the other candidates to uphold the standards they expect you to abide to. It is my belief that many politicians, not all, have been unwilling to voice their true self and more unwilling to put in writing any statement or actions they feel too revealing to the people that they are attempting to become official for. Instead of looking for ways to better the world they at times create issues where issues do not exist, leading the people that had entrusted them to lose focus on what really matters, the betterment of society. I can assure you that I have been and always will be accessible to all and enjoy opinions of a building nature. A better communicator is also one who listens well. A better politician is one who can approach issues with open mindness and closed personal agenda. A better person is what I hope we all become.

It is my hope that Jordan could become closer as a community it is my intention to advocate for this. Creating a more exacting focus that is developed and utilized including all of our community and in exclusion of none. Our outward appearance and acceptance as a community needs to be addressed in order to grow as a community.

Lets all make Jordan a better place to live!
