I’ve been watching the geese fly by over Jordan for the past few days, and I can’t help but notice one thing: they’re headed the wrong way.
Now, correct me if I’m wrong, but I always thought geese flew south for the winter. Every V I’ve seen so far has been heading north. Either their sense of direction is totally confused, or mine is.
While I’m willing to bet that my reasoning is at fault here, I’d still like to know just what is going on. Has anyone else noticed this, and can anyone tell me what is going on?

So yes they are heading south for the winter but may be staying in the area for a while and just flying around.
They may hang around until the weather changes and then continue their trip.
