A truly awesome sight

The weekend of Christmas, I went to my parents’ house to see family and friends in Platteville before I drove to my grandparents’ house in Sheboygan (about a three hour drive away). My family left Platteville the night of Dec. 23. I spent that night with friends and left the morning of Dec. 24. I wanted to get to my grandparents early enough to spend the whole day with family, so I left Platteville at about 7 a.m.

On my way to the highway, I was awed by the sunrise and the frost on the ground. I stopped to take a few pictures, and I did a little Bible search. Here’s one I liked about God’s glory and power:

"His splendor was like the sunrise;
rays flashed from his hand,
where his power was hidden."

I think that’s my favorite, too. I tried to take it with just the automatic settings, and it didn’t turn out, so I set the shutter speed a little slower and rested the camera on the open window of my car.
