The Jordan School Board held its first meeting of 2008 Monday, and the first order of business was to set the board officers and reorganize the board.

Dan Buresh was selected as the board chairman, replacing Ira Beckman. Jim Donna was named the vice chairman. Tammy will was named as the board clerk, replacing Bob Vollbrecht. Deb Pauly was named as the treasurer, Will’s previous position.

Here is a list of the committee assignments of each board member:

• Sheila Bauer: Minnesota River Valley Special Educational Cooperative (alternate), meet and confer, curriculum, personnel, community relations
• Joe Benko: Benko requested to be removed from all committee assignments
• Buresh: Chairman, Minnesota State High School League, meet and confer, Technology and Innovation in Education (TIES)/Region 5/South Central Educational Cooperative Services Unit (SC ECSU), community education and recreation (alternate), negotiations, staff development, Scott County Association for Leadership Efficiency (SCALE), community relations
• Donna: Vice chairman, Minnesota River Valley Special Educational Cooperative, negotiations, technology, buildings and land, community relations
• Scott Erickson: Negotiations, community education and recreation, technology (alternate), buildings and land, community relations
• Pauly: Treasurer, meet and confer, Carver-Scott Educational Cooperative (alternate), curriculum, legislation, community relations
• Will: Clerk, Carver-Scott Educational Cooperative, continuing education, personnel, community relations
