Ready, set, photograph!
November 15, 2006 - 9:47am — Brandon
All right. I mentioned it in my last blog post, and I asked for suggestions and got none. Instead of waiting to hear when others think we should set a photography weekend, I’ll do it myself. I suggest this weekend as the first in a monthly series of photo shoot-outs. Here’s how I envision this working: the third weekend of every month, the readers of www.jordannews.com head out with their cameras in tow and take as many pictures as they can or want. It doesn’t matter what you shoot, where you shoot it or how you shoot it as long as you shoot it (again, shooting as in photographing). Then, we can all share our pictures on the Jordan Independent Web site. I’ll be photographing all weekend with or without you folks, but it sure would be a lot cooler if more people joined in. Take pictures even if you aren't a member of the Photographers' Guild. Join up to share your work! Why the third weekend? Well, it would seem to make sense to have the fourth weekend, what with all the fourth-weekend holidays we have coming up. But I thought the third weekend would be a better idea, because I didn’t want you to miss time with family in order to take pictures. Feel free to take some pics of your loved ones and share them on this site, too! When you’ve got your pictures ready to share, go to the Photographers' Guild’s home page at http://www.jordannews.com/node/620 and click on "create a blog entry." Tell us all a little about where and when you took your photos, and attach some of your best shots by clicking on "file attachments." If you have any questions about the picture-sharing process, feel free to give me a call at 952-345-6570 or e-mail at botte@swpub.com
