My car is in desperate need of cleaning this weekend. I’ve gone a good three or four months without giving it a good cleaning, and I’ve never given it a complete and thorough cleaning in the two years that I’ve owned it.
It’s been a long time coming.
What the car needs the most is probably more than I can give it. I have a few stains on the seats from greasy fast food that I’m really hoping to get out with a little elbow grease and a lot of cleaner. The seats are also in need of a good vacuuming, and the console needs some spit shining.
All in all, I figure the project will take me the better part of two hours. The inside is pretty gross.
Do you clean your car often? How long have you gone between cleanings? Any suggestions on products that could help my efforts?

Spit shining?...

See, here’s the thing...
Back to page topSee, here’s the thing about cleaning: it’s never done. I cleaned my car on Friday night and Saturday morning. I even washed the inside with these fancy wipes I bought at the store, and I washed the chairs with Oxy Clean to get out a few stains (what stained the chairs, I don’t know and I don’t want to know). But now, only a few days later, the car is already starting to get dirty again. I can’t stand it.
The same thing happens with my apartment, and that’s why I never clean it.
No-duh thought of the day:...

I haven't cleaned my car,...
Back to page topI haven't cleaned my car, especially the inside, since last spring. And driving in the flood damaged areas down here didn't help the outside or inside.
