New Jordan School Board Chairman Dan Buresh and new board Treasurer Deb Pauly attended leadership training courses earlier this month.

Buresh said he learned a lot about parliamentary procedure and talked to several lawyers and school board representatives about the upcoming contract negotiations for whichever candidate the board hires as its next superintendent.

Buresh said he was also advised not to tape any board meetings unless the board absolutely has to.

Pauly said it was an awesome workshop.
