The Jordan Art Festival was a great success. I enjoyed reminiscing with old friends and neighbors and meeting some new interesting people. I'm proud to tell everybody that Jordan is my hometown and that it is a beautiful place inhabited by wonderful generous people.

Local author, Tom Dubbe will be signing books at the Jordan Art Festival on Saturday June 21 and Sunday June 22. Free drawing for autographed copies of "NIGHTMARES AND SECRETS: The Real Story of the 1984 Child Sexual Abuse Scandal in Jordan, Minnesota." Books will be for sale at a Special Event discount price. All proceeds go to organiations established to prevent child abuse.

Had fun at Celebrate Jordan on 4-6-08. Enjoyed visiting with some old timers and some new Jordanites. The friendship, fellowship and gossip renewed my hometown sentimentality. I'm mulling over an interesting rumor discussed by several wide-awake citizens. Gossip or rumor has it that Jordan's famous barber, Jack Buss, will come out of retirement and give Weymie Kerkow a haircut. Maybe it's just a rumor?

Award winning local author Tom Dubbe will be signing his book "Nightmares and Secrets: The Real Story of the 1984 Child Sexual Abuse Scandal in Jordan, Minnesota" at the Bloomington Writers' Festival and Book Fair Saturday April 5, 9:30 a.m to 4:00 p.m. at the Bloomington Center for the Arts at 1800 West Old Shakopee Road, Bloomington, MN 55431. Festival is co-sponsored by the Midwest Independent Publishers Assciation. Famous author Faith Sullivan will be the keynote speaker. Workshops and seminars about writing, literary agents, publishing and editing are available all day.

Dr. James McLeod a well known pediatrician from St. Louis Park was falsely accused of child sexual abuse. Jan. 18,2006 Dr. McLeod was acquitted of first and second degree criminal sexual conduct.
